The European Commission has activated its strategic emergency reserve, rescEU on Foot and Mouth Diesease outbreak, following a request from the Cypriot authorities through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism. The assistance includes disinfectants, personal protective equipment, disposable protective coveralls, face masks, shoe covers, and other essential materials aimed at limiting the further spread of the virus.
