The urgent need for immediate, coordinated and science-based action to address the impacts of climate change on seas and coastal communities was highlighted on Wednesday by the European Commissioner for Fisheries and Oceans, Costas Kadis, in his address at an international Climate Conference titled “Climate Action in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Middle East: Strengthening Regional Cooperation through Science and Innovation”.
