The need to invest in attracting new seafarers was highlighted in a High-Level Conference, organised by the Deputy Ministry of Shipping, within the framework of the Cyprus Presidency of the EU, with the participation of the Commissioner for Sustainable Transport and Tourism, Apostolos Tzitzikostas, and the Chair of the European Parliament's Committee on Transport and Tourism, Elissavet Vozemberg-Vrionidi and representatives from the shipping industry.
