“The development of defense, the upgrading of our country’s deterrent capability, and the support of the Cypriot defense industry constitute a top priority for our Government,” emphasized, the President of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, during his address at the DEFEA Conference 2026, held on Tuesday in Athens. He also noted that the Republic of Cyprus is ready to become a member state of NATO "when political conditions allow."
