Cyprus joins a European project to develop innovative building materials from seagrass and excavated soil. AKTI project and research centre in Cyprus will test the production of thermal insulation from seagrass and the reuse of excavated soil on the island, while coordinating similar initiatives to turn waste into new products in Austria, Hungary, Serbia and Ukraine, a press release reads.
