Cyprus remains committed to peacefully resolving disputes in the Eastern Mediterranean based on international law and principles of good neighborly relations, the Permanent Representative of Cyprus to the UN, Ambassador Maria Michail has said. Addressing the UN General Assembly on the 30th anniversary of the entry into force of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), the Ambassador also reiterated Cyprus’ steadfast commitment to respecting and implementing the Convention and urged all to become party to the Convention.
