Fires in urban areas up by 6.71% last year, a 4.32% decrease in rural fires

Chief Fire Officer of the Cyprus Fire Service, Nikos Logginos said an increase of 6.71% in urban fires was recorded last year compared to 2023, and a decrease of 4.32% in rural fires, according to data he presented on Friday during a press conference for the analysis of the 2024 statistics and the actions of the Fire Service, which took place in Nicosia.
