The Crisis Management Coordination Center gave instructions after midday on Thursday for the evacuation of the community of Omodos, due to the resurgence of fire in some areas, said the President of the Limassol Union of Communities, Lefteris Perikli, who nevertheless stated that there was no immediate danger, but that the evacuation is being carried out as a precautionary measure since aerial surveillance detected a risk of the fire reigniting.
