UN Secretary - General's Special Representative in Cyprus and head of the UN peacekeeping force on the island (UNFICYP), Khassim Diagne, will brief on January 15, 2026, the United Nations Security Council in closed consultations based on the two latest reports of the Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, on his Good Offices Mission in Cyprus and UNFICYP both of which will have been finalized by 5 January.
