Nicosia has welcomed the adoption of the  2815/2026 United Nations Security Council resolution on the renewal of the mandate of the United Nation Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP) for another 12 months, until January 31 2027, stressing that UNFICYP’s presence in Cyprus, based on its mandate, is indispensable for as long as the Turkish occupation continues and that the government of the Republic of Cyprus will continue to cooperate constructively with UNFICYP for the effective implementation of its mandate.
