The Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, Maria Panayiotou, held meetings with the European Commissioner for Health, Olivér Várhelyi, and the European Commissioner for Agriculture, Christophe Hansen, on Monday regarding foot and mouth disease, on the sidelines of the Agriculture and Fisheries Council, in Brussels. After the end of the Council meeting, the Minister told CNA that she requested both financial assistance and the immediate start of vaccination, receiving a positive response from both Commissioners on both requests.
