Dinos Phinicarides took over as the new Director of Cyprus News Agency (CNA) as of 7th May 2024.
Mr. Phinicarides had a long career as a sports Editor at several media, including “Proina Nea” newspaper, Radio Super, Logos TV, CYBC and ANT1 TV, where he served as Editor in Chief in the Sports Department.
Since 2014 he Joined the News Department at CYBC as a Political Editor and later as Editor in Chief. He has also been the host of various news programs both in Television and Radio at CYBC.
Mr. Phinicarides has a Degree in Journalism from Frederick University, a master’s degree in the Sociology of Sport from Leicester University and a master’s degree in Public Administration from European University.
He is also Author of the Book “Football, Sport of the People or the Political Elites?” examining the relationship between Football and Politics.
