The European People’s Party (EPP) welcomed on Thursday the results of the informal meeting on Cyprus in a broader format that took place in Geneva, reiterating the position that a solution can only be achieved “firmly within the agreed UN framework”, the only framework “accepted by the EU and the international community”, and that the EU is ready to “assume an active role in supporting the UN-led process.”
