Petros Constandinou was born in Konia, Pafos. He graduated from the 2nd Pafos Gymnasium, later renamed Pafos Kykkos Lyceum.

He served in the National Guard and completed his conscription service with the rank of second lieutenant.

He studied Journalism, Public Relations and Advertising and holds a University Degree in Humanities and Social Studies.

In a professional capacity, he began his career in print outlets. In 1990 he was employed as a journalist by the Public Service Broadcaster (CyBC) and in 2005 he was hired to the permanent position of editor-journalist and assigned duties of deputy senior editor on the main news TV bulletin.

In 2017 he was promoted to senior editor and in 2021 to the position of Editor in Chief.

In addition to his duties, he scripts and presents the geopolitics and defence programme ‘Amynesthai Peri Patris’, in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence and the National Guard General Staff.

He is also a bi-weekly radio host, presenting Saturday’s current affairs show ‘Face to Face’ (Prosopo me Prosopo), on CyBC’s 3rd radio programme, one of the most popular in Cyprus.

During his career, he has reported on a number of major stories both in Cyprus and abroad.

He is married and has two children.
