Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides has underlined the particularly important role that the United Kingdom can play, both as a permanent member of the Security Council and as a guarantor power, and requested British Prime Minister Andy Burnham’s personal contribution in support of the efforts of the United Nations Secretary-General to resume the negotiating process, according to Government Spokesperson Konstantinos Letymbiotis.
