Energy Efficiency 2026:

 

Are You Ready for the New Energy Efficiency Requirements?

 

Energy is no longer simply an operational cost. It has become a strategic factor for competitiveness, sustainability, and compliance with the evolving European and national regulatory framework.

 

With the full implementation of the new Energy Efficiency Law of 2025 and the related requirements of the European Energy Efficiency Directive, businesses are being called upon to adapt to a new environment that places increased emphasis on energy management, energy audits, and the continuous improvement of energy performance.

To support businesses in preparing for these new requirements, the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), within the framework of the EcoSMEnergy project is organising a free two-day workshop entitled «Energy Management for Businesses», which will take place on 11 and 16 June 2026.

 

The workshop will provide practical guidance and useful tools for businesses wishing to reduce energy costs, enhance sustainability, and effectively prepare for the new legislative requirements.

 

Participants will be informed about the latest legislative developments and will gain practical knowledge on:

 

  • Establishing and implementing an Energy Management System
  • Conducting energy audits
  • Collecting and analysing energy data
  • Setting energy performance targets
  • Implementing energy-saving measures
  • Monitoring and continuously improving business energy performance

 

Practical Information

 

  • 11 June 2026: In-person training at the CCCI premises
  • 16 June 2026: Online training session
  • Participation is free of charge
  • Places are limited (one participant per company) and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis
  • All participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance and a dedicated Training Label, which can be used on their website, social media channels, and corporate communications to showcase their commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency
