The Lab for Transport Engineering under the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of University of Cyprus is excited to announce its participation in the GREENMO project. The University of Cyprus is a partner within the project consortium with Associate Professor Loukas Dimitriou as Principal Investigator from the University of Cyprus.

The GREENMO project aims to promote the integration of Green and Inclusive Mobility Hubs for greener MED living areas by leveraging citizens' real needs. It has been structured based on an integrated, participatory approach that incorporates both top-down and bottom-up perspectives. The ultimate goal of the project is to foster low carbon mobility in living areas with the focus on mitigating the impact of urban mobility on the environment (CO2 reduction). This will be achieved by supporting Public Authorities on how to holistically leverage the important addition to the existing transport infrastructure of the "Mobility Hubs" schemes for climate change adaptation, while actively involving citizens and local communities to address their real needs/barriers towards shifting their behaviour to more environment-friendly modes.

GREENMO project is co-funded in the frame of Interreg EuroMED Programme with a consortium consisting of the University of West Attica, Greece as Lead Partner, University of Malta, University of Cyprus, A LOT s.r.l., Italy, Bax & Company Ltd, Spain and the City of Ljubuski, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The project will run over the next two years during which a number of activities are planned across the project consortium covering six countries.
