Cyprus recorded the highest rate of online social network use among young people aged 16 to 29 in the European Union in 2025, with 98.25% of young people reporting that they used them, according to data published by Eurostat on Thursday. This places Cyprus in first place among the 19 EU member states for which data are available, followed by Czechia (97.2%), Denmark (96.9%) and Finland (96.6%). At the other end of the scale, the lowest rates were recorded in Italy (80.3%), Germany (84.2%) and Luxembourg (84.8%).
