Cyprus recorded more than 10 times its normal rainfall in August, according to preliminary data released by the Department of Meteorology on Monday. Average rainfall in government-controlled areas of the Republic reached 30 millimetres by Monday morning, compared with a monthly average of 2.9 millimetres, an increase of 1,034%.
