Taxes and levies accounted for approximately 28% of household electricity bills in Cyprus in the second half of 2025, compared with around 29% across the EU, according to a briefing published on Friday by the European Parliamentary Research Service (EPRS). The figures refer to households with annual electricity consumption of between 2,500 and 4,999 kilowatt-hours.
