“Greece remains steadfastly by Cyprus’s side, with the aim of reunifying the island and finding a fair and sustainable solution based on the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council and in accordance with the EU acquis, as well as the principles and values of the European Union,” the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Thursday, in a message marking Cyprus' Independence Day on October 1.
