The Ministry of Defence will continue, with consistency and determination, to strengthen and modernise the defence capabilities, upgrade the strategic partnerships and further strengthen the Republic of Cyprus’s role as a reliable partner within the European Union and the wider region, the Minister of Defence, Vasilis Palmas, said in press statements he made on Thursday following the military parade marking Cyprus' Independence Day.
