Reunification is the sole aim and objective for us, through a solution that will transform the Republic of Cyprus into a modern state, sovereign throughout its entire territory, without an occupation army and without guarantor states with rights of intervention, in which all its lawful citizens will have exactly the same rights as other European citizens, said the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, in a televised message on Thursday marking the anniversary of the Declaration of Independence of the Republic of Cyprus.
