Since 2006, when the bi-communal program of excavations to ascertain the fate of missing persons began, more than 1600 exhumations have been carried out, while this year there have been about 85 excavations, Greek Cypriot member of the Committee on Missing Persons (CMP), Leonidas Pantelides, said on Wednesday, pointing out that excavations continue intensively with seven crews throughout Cyprus, which will increase to eight.
