In 2023, girls aged 16-19 in the EU, as well as in Cyprus, showed higher levels of digital content creation skills than the general population, according to data released by Eurostat on the occasion of the International Day of Girls in ICT (24 April). However, the percentage of girls in Cyprus that have taken up coding was significantly lower than that of boys their own age.
