The current Iranian crisis should remind everybody in Europe of the urgency of building up the continent’s strategic autonomy, accelerating the energy transition and strengthening EU structures and procedures so that Europe can better withstand hybrid threats, Dimitris Kairidis, Vice Chair of the National Defence and Foreign Affairs Committee of the Hellenic Parliament said in his speech Monday at the videoconference of the Conference of Parliamentary Committees for Union Affairs (COSAC), hosted by Cyprus’ House of Representatives.
