It is key to accountability that EU funds are used in accordance with the applicable rules, and that expenditure respects the principles of sound financial management, Cyprus’ European Affair Deputy Minister, Marilena Raouna said on Tuesday at the debate at the European Parliament Plenary on the recommendation to grant the Commission discharge in respect of the implementation of the EU budget for 2024 .
