Findings from a pan-European survey, monitoring illicit drug use through wastewater analysis, conducted in spring 2024 reveal an increase in the detection of MDMA, cocaine, and amphetamine compared to 2023, alongside a decrease in cannabis. The survey, conducted in the spring of 2024, analyzes data from 128 cities across 26 European countries, including Cyprus. The results, published on Wednesday, by the European Union Drugs Agency (EUDA), show that in Cyprus, cannabis and cocaine use is significant but remains lower than the European average.
